Blog Comment Practice Using Data

Today let's look at a graph and make a comment based on the data we see in the graph. Your comment can be a reason or an example. Or you can give your opinion about the data shown in the graph. Each comment should be 3 or 4 sentences long. Gambatte!

The graph below is about the aging Japanese society. It was taken from the site Mercatornet.com from an article called "Demography is Destiny". It makes a prediction on how Japanese society will likely change over time until the year 2025. Look at the data and make a comment on it or give your opinion.

  1. In my opinion, this problem is really bad. For example, when Japanese people become twenty years old, they begin to pay some tax to the government and it gives some money to old people who is older than sixty-five years old. However, if there are few young people but many old people, young people cannot pay the tax to old people and old people cannot get enough money to live. That is why this issue is so serious and need to be solved.

  2. In my opinion, this date is very wrong, because young people have to suppot old people. For example young people earn money, and it pay old people for pention. There are not young woker, the country don't make up.

  3. I think aging is not good for future because have many problem. First. Young people must pay for many taxes. Second. I think the problem is that fewer people have baby. So I think Japan needs to survey of the birth system and make a new system of babies and more.

  4. In my opinion asing is problem. For example, first so busy care for a person of advanced age because a lot of a person of advanced age more than young people. Next, if advance for decreasing number of children and asing to down population and the working population. Then the strength power of a nation is down more than now.

  5. I think it is problem. If children is decreasing, working person will be decreasing too in the future. Then we may not get a pension when we become the aged. It is very trouble, so I hope that many women to have a baby after this.

  6. My opinion is decreasing young people and increasing old people is problem because when old people die, Japanese population is very less. If this problem is not cleared up, Japanese population will be zero someday. What the country doesn't have people is same as what the country don't exist.
